The HopeWorks website provides easy access to a range of employment resources on the web. We have grouped these resources under the topical headings shown in the left-hand column of this page. Roll your cursor over each topic for a summary description of it contents. When you click on each topic, you will see a precise description of each resource and a link which takes you to that site. This web site is intended to be used by staff and volunteers of our affiliate organizations, by job seekers, and by any other person or group who wants to help persons find and retain employment.
The HopeWorks project was originally funded by the U.S. Department of Labor's Center for Faith and Community-Based Initiatives designed to work with faith-based and community-based organizations, giving them tools, knowledge, and support to help their constituents find employment and move toward economic self-sufficiency. The Project formed partnerships with Affiliate Organizations in Michigan, making these groups neighborhood connections to the Michigan Works! system. The website is now maintained by Ken Soper, NCDA Master Career Counselor, and one of its current form content authors. Ken and other volunteers started a similar ministry effort in 2002: Employment and Resource Network, or EaRN. The headings across the top of this page will lead you to information about the HopeWorks program, a listing of our Affiliate Organizations in West Michigan, and tools that we have developed to help organizations carry out their mission.
